Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior or Suspect Behavior is a spin-off of the popular CBS crime drama, "Criminal Minds". It follows the cases of a second BAU team, led by agent Sam Cooper (Forest Whitaker). The show premiered Wednesday, February 16th at 10pm EST.

On May 18, 2011, CBS announced that Suspect Behavior was cancelled after one season for bad ratings.


Talks for a Criminal Minds spin-off began in early 2009. Series producer, Edward Allen Bernero, confirmed that a spin-off was in the works, and would star Forest Whitaker. The new series focus' on Cooper's team, whose primary purpose is to investigate cases of human trafficking and assassination plots. Penelope Garcia acts as the new teams Technical Analyst. The cast was introduced in the Criminal Minds Season Five episode, "The Fight", in which the two teams work together to catch a serial killer, in San Francisco.

The series also features Richard Schiff as FBI Director, Jack Fickler, who is the superior to Erin Strauss, another Criminal Minds character.
